We take a big tupperware container, 50 gallon, and drill holes. An easy task. |
Thou I must say, I am not a fan of worms, I nevertheless attended the workshop entitled: Keep it in the cycle, Worm Composting, because I have always been interested in the concept of repurposing our waste. There is no such thing as AWAY. Every thing we do or do not do leaves some sort of imprint on our social and economic community. Should we commit to this project for the upcoming school year we would be teaching our children the Jewish value of
Bashtalitt ( avoiding waste and needless consumption. We are teaching them about the cycle of life... We produce food, consume, and dispose of it. In using the decay of food we are simply making something useful but in another form. We would be then be using this for building blocks for new food !!! Our garden of the future.
All opinions welcome... |
We layer paper in strips. Secondly we put in the wasted collected from uneaten food. Lastly we put in the red worms. |
