Exploration Through Touch and Smell

The Etzim classroom has been exploring the 5 senses. This week we focused on touch and smell. Below are some pictures of our exploration process. Enjoy!

Using water color and corn starch we created a strange mixture that we explored with our hands (sense of touch).

Nice hands girls!

Jacob and Ben help to make play dough with a special twist! We added essential oils (peppermint and lavender) and cinnamon. Then we explored the play dough not only with our hands but with our noses as well!

Spring Time Apple Pie and Our 5 Senses

The Etzim class is exploring spring through the senses. Last week we looked and listened for signs of spring outside. Today we made an apple pie. We used our eyes to look at the apples and our hands to cut the apples into little pieces.
Tomorrow we will smell the apple pie as it cooks in the oven and taste it when it cools! Keep it coming spring. We welcome you in earnest!
