Real Tools at work in play...

The Keshet kids had another opportunity to work with the real hammers today.  You can see that Abby and Allison are extremely focused as they sit across from one another, pounding the golf tee "nails" into the thick, heavy foam.  Abby grinned and giggled as she exclaimed "It went all the way in!" when her nail ended up flush with the foam.  So satisfying!

This activity was offered throughout the day today and the children continued to be interested and engaged for long periods of time.  This is a great way to develop their eye hand coordination,  You can see the determination in the eyes of the girls in the photos below!

Peer Teaching!

Today the Tel Aviv children had the opportunity to spend some quality time with the Kochavim children. Sam and Oliver taught the Tel Aviv children how to build traps with the big wooden blocks. Then Eli and Jacob decided to make ramps for the toy cars. Building with the big blocks was both challenging and fun!

Baked Apples with Honey and Raisins

This morning the Levana children prepared baked apples with honey for snack.
We used an apple corer to remove the seeds.
Adam is concentrating while holding the apple with one hand and pushing the corer down with the other. Micah is using a two handed technique. Both are focused on the job at hand. They are standing-up and using all their body strength to accomplish this exciting task.
