Bathing the Babies

Warm water, mild soap, and a few sponges transformed our sensory table into a bathtub for the Keshet baby dolls. Such a change from last week's Sea of Dinosaurs! Many of the Keshet children participated in the effort to clean up the babies, especially important as we were preparing for Shabbat. The children are learning to respect one another's space while working side by side, and to take turns with some of the items in the "tub." We notice the engagement in the children's expressions as they enjoy this play. Washing up is one of the ways in which we learn to take care of ourselves and of our classroom.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub

After washing the baby dolls in the soapy water, it was time to do the laundry. Sara, Ali and Eliza scubbed the baby doll clothing clean by swishing them around in the water. Everyone had a good time playing in the bubbly water. And, the pajamas are now nice and clean.
