Greetings Families at TBSCC,
Many of you have probably seen me around TBSCC during the school year subbing in your child's classroom or running to the supply closet for the much needed extra craft supplies! This past week (and next week), I'll be a counselor in the Adom Team classroom with Julia.
I am fairly new to the Boston area after just moving here last year from Vermont after graduating from Champlain College. I'm here in Boston to attend the Deaf Education Masters program at Boston University.
I originally hail from Oak Ridge Tennessee. If you haven't heard of it, it won't hurt my feelings but, if you have a WWII interest, it is one of the locations where the Atomic Bomb was created. Both my parents, still live in Oak Ridge and I'm looking forward to going home at the end of the month. My mom teaches 6 year olds at an all-year school and I'll be helping her clean up her classroom for the next school year that starts after July 4th weekend.
After a fabulous week with the Adom Team and the Afternoon Group, I'm looking forward for some more fun, splashing, and learning in the week to come.
Shabbat Shalom,
Kira

Welcome Kira!!! Sounds like you have some exciting interests and come from a "far-away place". I bet the kids are learning a lot from you!
