We know that the abacus was used for calculations before today's calculators and computers. But how would the children react to finding an enormous one in the classroom. The teachers debated. Should we keep it or give it away? The consensus: Let's try it and see what happens. So the Tzahov group arrived today to find this enormous abacus in their classroom. It's brightly colored balls caught Max's attention and he went over to investigate. Ball by ball he moved them first to one side and then to the other. I am curious to see how many ways the children find to use this new instrument.
