Happy 5th Birthday Noah!

Celebrating Noah's 5th birthday was a perfect way to start our week at camp! We welcomed Noah's mom and dad, Marisa and Jeff, in to read a wonderful book called, "Good boy, Fergus" written by David Shannon. The children loved seeing all the things Fergus, a silly dog, did in the story. We then shared a delicious birthday snack of watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, and freeze dried strawberries. Yum!

We spent the rest of the morning decorating Noah's birthday banner. The children brainstormed that Noah might like to see superheroes, Star Wars, and puppies on his birthday banner. It was such a treat to see all of the children, teachers, and counselors stop by the classroom to add their messages and decorations to Noah's banner. Thank you everyone who celebrated Noah's birthday with us today. We hope Noah has a very happy 5th birthday!!

Happy Birthday Ally!

Today Ally brought her mother and her brother Jesse in to visit.  Ally shared one of her favorite books with us. She read Hello Kitty Colors and Jesse helped her out.  It was great to see Ally's bright smile when the children sang Happy Birthday both in English and in Hebrew.  Jesse, thanks so much for lending your voice as well!  The children enjoyed meeting Jesse because Ally regularly tells us about her big brother.

When we visited the Levana classroom later in the morning, we sang Happy Birthday again.  It certainly was great to celebrate Ally's third birthday with her today.

A Birthday Celebration x 2

Keshet had such a wonderful time celebrating with the Fox family today!  Harrison brought in Marcus Pfister's Rainbow Fish book and Ethan chose to share The Cat in the Hat with us.  Mom and Dad read the two stories together.  The kids shared some sweet moments and some silly ones as we listened to the two tales.  Together we sang Happy Birthday in English and then in Hebrew - once to Ethan, and then to Harrison.

At snack time, we were delighted to sample the baking of the Fox family.  There were blueberry muffins AND pumpkin muffins to share.  The muffins were just delicious.  Thank you for sharing your birthdays and your talents with us this morning!

Samantha Turns Three

Levana children always enjoy celebrating birthdays at school. Samantha's Dad, Maury came in to read her favorite bedtime story, Curious George and the Dump Truck. Her older sister, Hannah joined the celebration. Then we sang Happy Birthday in Hebrew and in English. Happy Third Birthday, Samantha.

Celebrating with Adam!

Rabbi Todd came in to celebrate Adam's birthday!  We sang "Happy Birthday" in Hebrew first and then English!  Then Rabbi Todd read Adam's Birthday Book and a few books Adam hand picked from home.  The first book was about Star Wars...surprise, surprise!  The second book was a wonderful story about an up -coming holiday, Shavuot.

Last week just before Adam's 4th birthday he successfully mastered sliding down the "fire pole" on the TBSCC playground!  He was so proud of himself!  Check out the photos in the collage.  Here is how it is done...hand, hand on the pole, then bring your belly button to the pole,and down you go!

Nicolas Celebrates his Third Birthday

Celebrating Nicolas’s third birthday was a special event enjoyed by all the Levana children. Both of Nicolas’ older brothers and their mom joined us today. Lucas played several renditions of one of our favorite songs, Happy Birthday,on his guitar. He played a solo and then we all sang in English and in Hebrew with his accompaniment. Joshua read several of the boys' favorite books. Both of the boys did a splendid job in making this birthday celebration for Nicolas a most enjoyable occasion.
