Ice is Nice.
Today in the Etzim classroom, we read a new book that was donated to our classroom, Ice Is Nice by Dr. Seuss. This book has lots of great science facts about how animals live in cold icy climates, the two poles, and other great winter weather facts. The Etzim children love to explore water and ice in different ways, and back by popular demand we painted with ice! The children explored mixing colors with the ice and talking about the new information they learned in the book. It was a fun experiment for all.

It's Dr. Seuss's Birthday
Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss today. Avram and Ryan listen attentively to the reading of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish as we celebrate one of our favorite author's birthday. Children really enjoy all the silly rhymes in the stories and like to make up their own, as well. Dr. Seuss books facilitate language development while entertaining.
We made green pudding for snack in honor of another favorite story, Green Eggs and Ham. It looked pretty and tasted just like vanilla pudding. Everyone had a chance to use an old-fashioned held-held egg beater to mix the pudding.
