A Chanukah Guest

Today we were delighted to welcome Jack's Nana, Barbara, to our classroom.  Barbara read us the book The Golum's Latkes by Eric Kimmel. We were on the edge of our seat!  She then shared a Chanukah Cd with us, leading us in a dance party!  It was so special to have a grandparent visit our class during Chanukah.  What a wonderful way to reinforce our connection between home and school by having a special family member share in our holiday celebrations!   We all had a great time.  Thank you, Jack, for sharing your Nana with us!  Come back soon, Barbara!

Special Visitors

Josh's bubbe and zayde came to visit us from Montreal!  They played trains and read us a very funny book by Robert Munch called "I Have to Go!".  It is the story of a little boy named Andrew who never uses the potty when his parents ask him to go and always needs to go once they get in the car or after his snowsuit is all zipped up.  Josh's bubbe read the story with funny voices and lots of enthusiasm.  We giggled the whole way through!
