Its a Snowy Day in our Classroom

This morning, we brought the outside weather into our classroom. At the sensory table, Piper and Graham play with the penguins in the snow. If you look closely, you can see that Graham wanted to introduce the jungle tiger to snow. What excitement there was when Livi refreshed the old snow with a new supply.

Penquins and Ice Floats

There were lots of penguins in our classroom today. Nicolas was having a wonderful time setting them up on the icebergs. When some other children wanted to join in he cheerfully said, “We can work together.” As the year progresses we observe the children engaging in more frequent associative play. Their play involves the awareness of other children interested in similar activities sharing a common theme, toys and conversation.
