Versatility in building
One of the keys to encouraging creative expression is to provide a variety of materials to use. The Kohavim children have been actively involved in building again, switching their attention from the commercial wooden blocks to the straws and round wooden tree pieces. They figured out how to attach the round wood pieces to their straw constructions to make their creations move. This was a new and exciting feature of their building. There's nothing like nurturing the imagination, curiosity, and passion of young children and seeing the creativity that emerges.
