TBSCC has that special Shabbat feeling!

Making Challah Is So Much Fun!

Today everyone in the TBSCC had the opportunity to make challah! We listened to some beautiful Shabbat music as we kneaded, rolled, braided the challah, then placed it on a cookie sheet. Tova was kind enough to put it in the oven and wrapped it up for us to take home. Thanks Tova! Making challah is always so much fun!

Shabbat Shalom!

we gathered together to celebrate Shabbat with our
parents and grandparents. We worked together to make our Shabbat box.
Unicorns will be preparing all the items we need to put into our Shabbat
box; candles, Challah covers, kiddush cup and Tzdakah box.
We introduced our Shabbat memory game to help us remember all the
beautiful things that help us celebrate this day of rest.
Avery took home our Shabbat box with Dubi and Duba(our bears) and dictated
what she liked about taking them home. Her favorite part was playing
with them.

Celebrating with Family and Friends!

The Tel Aviv teachers and children were so exited to have parents and grandparents join them for the Shabbat Shindig! After celebrating Shabbat in the Sanctuary, everyone seemed to enjoy coming back to the classroom to play. Making bird feeders with bagels, sun butter,yarn and bird seed was a big hit!

Shabbat Helper!

Last week Ellen asked Ruby to help her set up for Shabbat in the Sanctuary. Sam was sitting with me and asked "Can I have a turn to help Ellen sometime?" I said, "Let's ask her." On Friday Ellen asked me, "Who was it that wanted to help me set up for Shabbat?" I said ,"Sam Royal!" Sam you did a super job helping Ellen! Ellen maybe this could be a new tradition (each week pick a new helper to set up for Shabbat)? Please let us know what you think!
