On Monday Charlotte, Nicolas, Molly, Noah, Avi ,Adam and I all played doctor. I was the patient and all of the children were the doctors. Molly and Charlotte were the drivers that took us all the way to the moon to see the moon doctor. The moon doctor was the only doctor that could make me feel all better.
Everyone worked together and problem solved to help their patient get better! First it was a shot, in the arm and leg, then they tried medicine. The game lasted for quite sometime ,and the children played and worked well together!

Bagel Faces!
The entire children's center made edible bagel faces today! First we had a short discussion about how we all have some many different feelings. Sometimes we feel happy, sad, mad, surprised, excited... We then asked the children to tell us how they were feeling today and to create a face on the bagel that shows us how they are feeling ,happy, excited etc.
Then the children had the opportunity to make a bagel face with cucumbers, peppers, raisins and cream cheese or jelly.
How are you feeling today?

Monday, Monday...
What a great start to the week! The weather outside was fantastic! Everyone was a little tired this morning and got off to a slow start. As the day went on,we all picked up the pace and got into the swing of things. The day seemed to fly by!
Bailey and Kayley blew bubbles, Isabel and Ellen took turns pushing Alex on the swing and Cody spent time with Isabel baking in the playground kitchen!

Practicing how to walk in the hall!
Everyday we walk from our classroom to many places! Whether it be outside to the playground, or to the community room we always walk as a group. We have talked about the importance of hall safety and making sure we walk, use our inside voices, hold the railing going up/down stairs and now we are practicing staying in a single-file line! We will learn a song to help us remember and once there are more people in the hallways (during the school year), and as the kids eventually enter elementary school it will prove to be very useful! There are many more bodies to be aware of and by then the kids will be pros!

Bubble Day and Yarok Family
In addition to bubble day, today's theme seemed to be welcoming family. Yarok welcomed Hayley's brother Jake today who joined us as an honorary counselor. In addition, Steve welcomed his niece Kira who joined us from Israel.
Haley and Jake engage in some play dough play.
Haley and Jake cool off with some refreshing water.

Busy bees!
Cars and construction have been a popular topic inside of our classroom. We have been talking a lot about sharing and helping each other to accomplish all that we want to, and that by working together we can achieve even bigger and better things!
We have also been doing lots of hands on art projects and playing with different tactile objects to see how they are alike and different. This week we had colored rice in our table and had fun filling up bottles and guessing how many scoops it took to fill each of the different sized bottles! Again, we worked together to fill the bottles and shared the scoops and shovels because there weren't enough for everyone to have their own. We have also been having fun playing with shaving cream and water!
Carnival and other indoor activities
Since the weather was not the best last week we decided to have our carnival inside! Each child was given tickets in order to play the games, eat popcorn or get their face painted! Whether they tried tossing bean bags, jumbo bowling or helping run the ticket booth they all had a blast!
We also got to play with shaving cream which is always a hit! The kids love to draw with it and play with it in their hands . It is a fun activity and can also be used in water play which is something we may try this week! Additionally, there was a request for colored pasta to be in the tactile table so we had lots of fun sorting the pasta, filling up containers and collecting our favorite colors!

Carnivàle
The TBSCC summer carnival was loads of fun. The children enjoyed a number of different games. We tossed bean bags, rolled blow up bowling balls, manned the ticket booth, and ate popcorn! What a glorious day for all.

Eva the Big Sister!
Eva came to camp this week as a big sister! This morning she wanted to play with a baby and she took care of it like she will take care of her new brother. She hugged it gently and wrapped it in a blanket. Eva gave milk to and fed her baby. She had to get water and buy things for the baby. Lastly, she celebrated Shabbat with her baby and had fun as a pirate. Eva will be a great big sister!
