Horray for Lunch Bunch!

Our first day of Lunch Bunch was busy! We all joined together for a quiet lunch full of great conversation, of course! Then we introduced "Piece Out Time"...Which is when the children have the opportunity to take out some quiet activities on the rug and at the tables. Then the children cleaned up and we had a "curriculum meeting". The children talked about what they wanted to do in Lunch Bunch this year. They came up with some great ideas and activities!

The following are a list of their thoughts/ideas so far:

-to make putty and play dough
-painting
-to make jewelry
-to make french toast, hot chocolate, pizza, smoothies, cookies, brownies, salad/people
-to play in the Community Room(with balls ,mats, slides etc.)
-play outside a lot
-juggling
-parachute play
-to play in the kitchen(Tel Aviv room)
-science stuff/experiments

The very last thing we did today was to go outside for some gross motor fun on the playground! I can't wait until tomorrrow!

Who is 4 years old today?

We celebrated Nathaniel's fourth birthday with him today! His Mom (Amy) was kind enough to bring in a special snack for Nathaniel to share with his friends/teachers (a yummy fruit salad). Friends gathered around to sing "Happy Birthday" to Nathaniel and Amy read Nathaniel's Birthday Book and another favorite book from home. We all wish Nathaniel a very Happy Birthday! Thanks for celebrating with us!

Together again

Three good friends re-unite on the playground. It is heart warming in the morning to see the delight in the eyes of Mia, Sandy, and Julia as they find each other on the playground after drop off. The All Stars are beginning to understand that even though some of their friends are in the other class, they are all All Stars, and will see each other at times during the day. These three girls are enjoying a game of "ring around the rosy" after they finished collecting colorful "jewels" in the sand box.
