Where Is Baby Moses?
The Levana children are enjoying imaginative play with simple stick puppets depicting the story of Moses's early life. These were copied from one of our favorite Passover books, Moses. Our library bench, covered in blue paper, represents the River Nile, and we sing a favorite song, Where Is Baby Moses? to tell the story. This enables the children to participate in a play without the pressure of reciting lines. Olivia is multi-tasking, having stopped by after working as a firefighter and participating in a seder with her baby!

Look! We Made a Movie!

During secede circle today the Tel Aviv class had a "film screening" of their very own passover story play that we filmed last week. Our screening was filled with giggles as each child was excited to see themselves act on screen. My favorite part was that whenever the songs were sung our whole class joined in! We love that everyone was so excited for passover!

Using play dough to tell the story of Passover!
Hannah and I were playing with the play dough and she became very excited and said, "Lauri I have a great idea! I will be right back!" Hannah came back with the plastic people and told me were to place them. Then she rolled the play dough back and said, "This is how the slaves escaped Egypt! This is the path they took to get away from the Pharaoh."

The Passover Play!
What a way to learn the story of Passover! By acting out the story of Passover the Tel Aviv children have had the opportunity to experience the story first hand in a very special way! They know their lines/roles and know the songs well! Each time we act-out the story the children take on a new part or character. Today Jacob took on the role of the mean Pharaoh, Rachel-G-d voice, Hannah-Moses, Molly-Miriam, Lily-Frog 1, Eliza- Frog 2, Ezra-Aaron, Max-Slave 1, Eli- Slave 2, Dylan-Slave 3.
