She makes us roll, stretch, move, touch our nose to our toes and do all sorts of movements that are not so easy. When the children see our symbol for Dancing Nancy on our schedule they all jump in excitement. Today Nancy gave us large rubber balls. The instructions were not to toss the balls to our friends but to put the balls between our knees and try to walk. This is hard enough for adults but even harder for children whose legs are shorter than ours. Many of the children met the challenge and were able to hold on to the ball and not toss it and then to walk with the ball at their knees. This is more self regulation at work and we love it because it is fun.
