Haman's Hat

The Keshet children are enjoying the story of Purim, and have become familiar with Esther, King Ahasuerus, Mordecai, and Haman. The concrete symbols that help them to identify these figures include, of course, their dress and headgear. The children can easily identify Haman, in storybooks and stick puppets, by his three conrnered, pointed hat. We had fun today making and wearing hats like Haman's. The dress-up and play-acting of Purim really bring the characters and the spirit of the feast to life for all of us.
