Mordechai's Beard and other Purim fun

We have been enjoying the sweet and simple book, "The Purim Parade" in the Levana class this week, as we discuss different aspects of the holiday.

The book shows four different children preparing their homemade costumes as they get ready for their Purim parade.  We took inspiration from the book, and after tomorrow's crown making, we will have made our own costumes just like the four children in the book.

As you've seen in earlier blog posts, we strung necklaces (out of cheerios and beads) for Queen Esther....

...and we dressed up in costumes for our parade.

Today we made beards for Mordechai out of felt and cotton balls, some of us still in costume!

Tomorrow we'll make crowns for the king and queen (and for a birthday girl, too!)  Happy Purim!
