This week the children in the Levana lunch bunch group completed their clay-gem sculptures with a coat of colorful paint under the guidance of Liz, our art specialist. Creating art builds self confidence, reinforces hand-eye coordination, pre-writng skills, a sense of competence and pride in accomplishment.
" My mom and Dad will love this.
"Look I made green." "
I painted the plate."
"I need silver."
They'll be dry in a few days and the children can take them home for all to admire.
I can't wait to see the finished product! I love that they have this creative outlet as part of lunch bunch.
