Just in Time for a Popsicle
Just as the teachers stared passing out popsicles on Friday, Olive cam strutting into the playground with her walking boot. She sat right down next to her sister Audrey and they enjoyed a grape juice popsicle with the other children. What a treat to see Olive and have some time to catch up with her over a nice, cold popsicle!

Artik, Menta, Chocolate Banana....!

This past Monday at Mayim, Lily Shapiro joined her sisters on the Bima to lead the song, "Artik Menta Chocolate Banana!" a song all about Israeli Popsicles. The Tel Aviv class learned this song during our trip to Israel, specifically when we ate Artik Popsicles at the beach! Lily knew all the words and dance moves and all of Mayim was impressed by her ability to lead the group. As a teacher, I was glad that Lily got the experience of watching the older kids sing and enjoy the same songs and dances that she sings in the Tel Aviv class. Jewish music is a wonderful and rich part of Jewish tradition and fun songs and dances can be away for friends, siblings and families to connect even though they are in different class and have had different Jewish experiences. Way to go Lily! You have quite the dance moves!

Sweet afternoon treats!
The afternoon Popsicles continue to be a cool ending to a fun day at our Temple Beth Shalom summer program! We have been enjoying our end of the day treats outside in the summer sun with music each day and are always eager for more new requests! Any fun songs you sing at home or in your car you'd like to share and recommend for us to add to our repertoire?

Off to the Tel Aviv Beach
The Tel Aviv class had an AMAZING day in Tel Aviv today. From beach yoga to slushies we had a great day relaxing in our very own Tel Aviv beach. The class loved spreading out our towels on the rug for circle and showing off their fun and colorful swim wear. We had shells all over the room and the sensory table was filled with sand to play and dig at the beach. Children brought out blocks from the block area to pretend to water ski and surf on the Mediterranean Sea. We finished the morning by having a blast with Dancing Nancy. A Day in Tel Aviv wouldn't be complete without a little dancing! Fun was had by all and we are excited for our Negav Sleepover tomorrow! See you in your PJs!

Yum Yum Popsicles in our Tum!

After gross motor fun and play in the community room the Tel Aviv class got a special treat..Popsicles! Yesterday the lunch bunch group froze grape juice to make delicious popsicles. When we first handed it out Dylan exclaimed, "It taste like Shabbat!" We identified the taste as grape juice! The lunch bunch group may be making different popsicle flavors in the upcoming weeks. The Tel Aviv class is looking forward to it. Yum!

Popsicles
Josh, Jacob, Ryan and Lizzie share a few moments together eating grape juice popsicles. Could there be anything better than this on a warm summer day? I doubt it.
