Eva came to camp this week as a big sister! This morning she wanted to play with a baby and she took care of it like she will take care of her new brother. She hugged it gently and wrapped it in a blanket. Eva gave milk to and fed her baby. She had to get water and buy things for the baby. Lastly, she celebrated Shabbat with her baby and had fun as a pirate. Eva will be a great big sister!

Our Name is Mud
International mud day provided an opportunity for us to enjoy the miracle of mud. We quickly discovered the ancient Need-hamian equation; Potting soil + water = mud.
Loving the mud boat.
2 excited Mudonian women
Love that muddy water...
Outdoor Classroom!
One thing is for sure the Kahol children are having a "grand ole time" on the TBSCC playground! The swings, water play, sandbox, and the slides are a few of their favorite activities! Today Alex spent time in the sandbox, on the swing and in the pool filling a buckets with sand and water! Cody enjoyed playing with Rachel in the house, and rode a car on the black top. Grace climbed up and down the swirly, twirly climber many times and walked along the balance beam. When she fell off she got right back on and continued to walk...toe, heel, toe, heel!

Happy 5th Birthday Noah!
Celebrating Noah's 5th birthday was a perfect way to start our week at camp! We welcomed Noah's mom and dad, Marisa and Jeff, in to read a wonderful book called, "Good boy, Fergus" written by David Shannon. The children loved seeing all the things Fergus, a silly dog, did in the story. We then shared a delicious birthday snack of watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, and freeze dried strawberries. Yum!We spent the rest of the morning decorating Noah's birthday banner. The children brainstormed that Noah might like to see superheroes, Star Wars, and puppies on his birthday banner. It was such a treat to see all of the children, teachers, and counselors stop by the classroom to add their messages and decorations to Noah's banner. Thank you everyone who celebrated Noah's birthday with us today. We hope Noah has a very happy 5th birthday!!
Making Mud
| Ben, Charlotte and Rose admire their work after adding lots of water and dirt together to make mud,. Here's a poem about mud for your enjoyment. |
Mud is very nice to feel,
All squishy, squashy between the toes.
I'd rather wade in mushy mud
Than smell a yellow rose.
All squishy, squashy between the toes.
I'd rather wade in mushy mud
Than smell a yellow rose.
Mud Day!
It was Mud Day at TBSCC! Alex played with the muddy water, stamped his feet in the muddy puddles, rode in the muddy car, and poured mud on his head! What a day for Alex! Hooray for Mud Day!
Cody joined the Kahol group today! He seemed to have a great first day! Welcome Cody!
