The Kohavim boys and girls have been busy builders, creating some beautiful structures with the straw connectors. You may recall the Kohavim Hotel and boat structures?? Joshua Rosenberg had asked how these straws and connectors were made. Not knowing the answer, we went right to the source, THE PRESIDENT, Carolyn Viosin. The children signed the letter and even put 'we hope you write us back." After sending the letter, we waited. In fact the day after we sent the letter, Joshua asked if she had responded yet. We explained it takes time for the letter to arrive at its destination and then time for a response back. After just a little over a week, Ms. Viosin, responded answering with details about the process of making the straws, the machines used, and the steps in which lead to the finished product. She explained that there are artists and craftspeople that work at developing these products that are produced at her plant. In addition she sent a box of items that they produce at the plants in Canada and North Carolina. She THANKED US for showing her the great structures we designed and the process we undertook to create these buildings. We were excited to know that she was going to share this with some of her colleagues at Royclo. It truly just takes the IDEA. In closing she hoped that we will always enjoy LEARNING, EXPERIMENTING, and CREATIVITY!!! A true educator.
