You Can't Take a Balloon Into the MFA, But You Can Bring the Haifa Class!

Today was the big day! Today the Haifa class left the familiar walls of Temple Beth Shalom Children's Center and made its way into the city limits of Boston, and to the Museum of Fine Arts!

The Haifa class has spent the last few weeks studying different artists and different ways of making art, and today we got to experience it firsthand! With the help of some of our parents, we drove in to the museum, and got a private tour from none other than our own Sauci. We explored the museum, looking at paintings on the ceiling, finding the focus point of paintings, playing with perception, and seeing the beautiful Degas dancer, whom we have read all about! At the end of our trip, we were pleasantly surprised to see that it had finally stopped raining, the perfect end to a great field trip. We made our way back to Temple Beth Shalom for a pizza party before our day ended.

The Haifa children were model museum visitors, and taking them to the museum was such a treat for both them and us!

  4. Getting there was half the fun! I loved listening to the kids' conversations as we drove.
