Water play encourages learning in all developmental areas. It provides opportunities for children to experiment with math and science concepts, strengthen their physical skills, advance their social and emotional skills, and further their language development. Additionally, it allows teachers to help children problem solve (sharing a favorite toy, splashing or waiting to have a turn at the table) that may come to the surface during play. We help them work through these critical learning experiences and come to a solution so that when they arise in the future they can begin to work through them on their own. We will continue to develop these skills throughout our time this summer!

Water play! Yarok
The children are always drawn to water play whenever it is in the classroom!
