Today the dramatic play area turned into a post office including plenty of envelopes, beautiful stationary, pens and pencils! The Tel Aviv kids loved taking the stationary and adorning it with letters and pictures and then folding them and putting them in envelopes and handing them to their friends and teachers. Being able to write and deliver a letter creates a sense of ownership for kids. Many of the students took on fantasy roles as the mailman to act out the mail-delivering process. I love seeing their imagination and creativity at work! Our class was so excited to have their summer teacher Donna visiting today and within minutes Donna had many beautiful letters and pictures to admire. We can’t wait to make even more cards and letters tomorrow!
No surprise that Micah G loved this!
