Executive Functioning
Executive functioning is a term used to describe cognitive processes that regulate, control, and manage other cognitive processes, such as planning and working memory. In the Levana class today the children were making some Chanukah hats. Nicolas and Lindsey selected paper candles to glue onto their hats. They thoughtfully planned how they were going to use the glue sticks, where to place the candle and the flame. Because Abby remembered how we measure and make a hat that fits, she attempted to do just that by herself. It is thrilling to see children develop these executive function skills as they mature.

A new way to see a classic project. Thanks for explaining it!
