Squirrel in a Tree is a game that teaches cooperation, sharing, and following directions . The children are the squirrels, the chairs are the trees. When the music is on we ask the children to run, jump, leap, fly or gallop around the room following a leader. When the music stops the children have find a tree to sit in. Each time the music stops the teacher takes 1 chair away. Soon there are a lot more squirrels then trees. The squirrels are asked to make room in their tree for the other squirrels.

First of all, adorable. Second of all, I love this game and how it differs from musical chairs. The cooperation and problem solving is amazing to watch. Thirdly, of course in the end, it results in my son flying off somewhere. No shock there. He's clearly having fun though!
