Hanukkah Visit From Rabbi Todd

Rabbi Todd visited our class today and told us all about the story of Hanukkah.  He explained why we light the Hanukkah menorah for eight nights because a very long time ago there was not enough oil to keep the special light on at the temple.  The people thought they only had enough for one night but the oil lasted eight nights.  We sang the three blessings with Rabbi Todd  and also played dreidel.  Rabbi Todd is a wonderful story teller as well as a great dreidel spinner. Thank you for your visit Rabbi Todd, please come again!

  1. It was my pleasure to get to hang out with Shamayim yesterday! I especially loved our group 'how many dreidels can we get spinning at once' game at the end! Thanks for having me!

  2. What a wonderful post. Josh came home so excited and so happy that Rabbi Todd sat with him to spin the dreidels!
