Today in Levana, instead of making our Shabbat challot, we used the dough to make soufganiyot. These are deep fried jelly donuts which are traditionally served during Chanukah. In our case, we used challah dough and jam, not deep fried, but baked in the oven!
A couple friends showed interest in making these treats, but Samantha really took a liking to this activity and made about four! Thanks, Samantha! We wish everyone a happy last 2 nights of Chanukah and of course Shabbat Shalom.
