Nature Walk
Today was a busy day in the Kohavim class. In preparation for our upcoming sukkah visits, we took a Nature Walk around Temple Beth Shalom looking for materials we could use to decorate the sukkah. First we brainstormed a list of things we thought we would see- bark, sticks, worms, leaves, trees. Then we each took our bags and headed outside for our adventure. As we explored, we talked about what would fit in our bags and what we should not take because it may still be growing.
Back in the classroom we pooled our materials together in the sensory table and began creating. The children realized that it was challenging to create mobiles and worked hard trying out different strategies. We cannot wait to hang all of our decorations in the sukkah this week.
