Taking pride in hard work

Today, Ethan worked very hard on his magnetile structure.  A few children wanted to help Ethan. However, Ethan really wanted to complete what he started on his own.

While we strive to teach the children inclusion and team work, we also want to promote self advocacy. There were plenty of magnetiles for Ethan's friends to work on another structure by themselves.

 

This allowed Ethan to have his voice heard and respected.  Sometimes it's ok to work on something by ourselves!
