I remember playing hopscotch as a child. The fun was in the challenge of making it all the way to the end without getting your feet mixed up. It was that classic board that was on the blacktop of the playground today. I admired Josie's persistence as she tried over and over again, going up and down the board. Focused on her body, and the numbers, she chanted them one by one. I could see her brain working to meet the challenge!
I love this - how fun to see her playing and learning! It's funny how something that seems so simple is actually quite complex in terms of the skills it develops. Go Josie!
