Apple Seeds
This week we have continued to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and have been enjoying snacking on apples and honey. As the teachers sliced the apples today, the children noticed seeds in the core of the apple. Max, Ryan, and Brett investigated the cores using hand lenses to get a closer look. Then, they removed all of the apple seeds and collected them in a glass jar. They explained that if we planted the seeds in the ground an apple tree would grow. They wondered what would happen if you swallowed an apple seed. Would you get sick? Would an apple tree grow inside of you? Or would nothing happen at all? Our investigation with apples and seeds will continue.
