Meet the Haifa Stick Person of the Week!
In the Haifa classroom, there are often times when we need a student helper. Whether it be walking at the front of the line, picking first for choice time, or getting the attention of the other students for time warnings and transitions, the Haifa class uses someone called the Stick Person. We have a bucket full of fifteen sticks, one for each student in the Haifa class. Each Monday we are going to pick someone at random to be the stick person for the whole week. At the end of the week, as a special treat, the stick person will get to spend the weekend with our classroom stuffed elephant and document his or her time with the stuffed animal.
Olive was the very first stick person chosen this year in the Haifa classroom! Here she is holding the tambourine, getting ready to tell the class that it's time to clean up. Thanks Olive for being the first stick person!
