The Kohavim boys and girls celebrated Molly's school birthday yesterday. Mommy and Daddy aka Colleen and Jason came in to read one of Molly's favorite books Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet by Jane O'Conner.
In this book Nancy, and her friend Bree, are looking forward to a dance show where they can be fancy, and glamorous.Nancy was a bit disappointed because she did not get the glamorous role but instead was a dreary old tree. Could she make a dreary tree part glamorous? There was a last minute change to everyone's surprise.
As Molly was blowing out the 5 candles one classmate said we should have 6 candles, one for good luck!!! We are in the process of deciding what we are going to do.

As is our birthday tradition, the children think about some things that the birthday celebrant might like. Some children thought Molly would like Barbies, princesses, family, fairies, cards, and tooth fairies. Off we went to illustrate our gift of a birthday banner for Molly, with each child writing or illustrating their idea. Jacob and Eliza chose to make a card for Molly as their special gift.
