Noticing me enter the classroom with a clipboard and checklist, Jeffrey was intrigued. He settled in next to me to ask what I was doing. I showed him my observation checklist (a Massachusetts early education requirement) and explained that I was using it to look for things in each of the classrooms.
Soon Noah had joined us and both boys were creating their own checklists. What did they see around the room? Trains, books, people, tables, and more. They carefully drew columns of boxes and labeled each with a drawing of a particular object in the classroom. Then it was time for the best part- checking them off! What a great way to hone their observation and writing skills. Thanks for your help, boys!
two future statisticians very intent in their work!
