Oh What a Parade!

On Friday, the Haifa All Stars marched in a Dragon Parade in honor of the Chinese New Year. During our two week exploration of China, we talked about the culture, food, traditions and holidays celebrated in China and the Chinese American neighborhoods. We made dragon fans, lanterns and stuffed fish to march around with in celebration of the new Chinese year, which is the year of the Rabbit. There was also a dragon in our procession. As we marched around school, we made visits into all of the classrooms. We also played various instruments such as drums and bells as we traveled in our parade. All of the children loved marching together and sharing part of the Chinese New Year celebration with their school community!
