Planting Lima Beans!

Earlier in the week the children decided to plant the lima beans that we have been observing in our Science Center for the past few weeks. We took the lima beans out of the bag, laid them out on a piece of paper and hand picked a few to plant. I asked Oliver and Mia how they decided which lima bean to plant in their pot of soil. They both said "The one with the biggest or the longest roots." I asked them "What do you think will happen to the lima beans after we plant them?" Their response, "They will grow!"
