Avram's Happy Birthday

Avram's parents joined us on Wednesday, to celebrate his fourth birthday and to read The Giant Jam Sandwich, a colorful and fun book of rhyming verse. The Sunshines always enjoy our family visitors and the stories they share with us. We were again impressed by the care and persistence of the children in creating their birthday crowns. Their work shows off their increasing skill with drawing pencils and markers. Stickers and other decorations are now often grouped in patterns, sometimes by color, sometimes in clusters of three or four similar items, and sometimes by theme. Some of the children create borders and and enthusiastically describe their representations of places, letters and shapes. Our thanks to Joel and Dawn for joining us on this happy occasion.
