Happy Birthday, Alana

Three generations of Alana's family joined the Sunshines to celebrate her fourth birthday. This special day for Alana coincides with the first day of spring, which this year brought us snow! Grandparents, aunt and cousins joined Sara and Alana for circle, songs, and two great books. Sam read Lizzy's Do's and Don'ts, a funny lesson on the value of positive reinforcement. Sara revisited a book that the Sunshines enjoyed this winter, Snowmen at Night, which has beautiful illustrations of imaginary snowmen escapades. Alana wore a crown in her favorite bright green, and the other children wore their own creations. The Sunshines have become familiar with one another's extended families through visits, drop-off and pick-up, and are comfortable in welcoming them into our classroom.
