It was great fun spinning a giant spider web with yarn wrapped, strung and tied around a circle of chairs. Some of the children pretended to be spiders and others were insects caught in the web. Paper flies and bugs were hung from the yarn, captured in the sticky web. When we were finished with our web, we snipped the yarn into tiny pieces. For a finale I sang the book
Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani, about a spider and his adventures throughout his busy day.
My favorite Itsy Bitsy Spider book. The illustrations are great and the adventures fun and easy sing along as well.
