We are making Seder Plates, Afikomen bags and Elijah cups in our class. We have had to use many fine motor skills to create these masterpieces. Check out some photos from our artists hard at work - their faces are full of concentration!!

getting ready for Passover
The Shamayim children have been learning the Passover story, as well as understanding the traditions that we participate in now to remember Moses and the slaves in Egypt. We've read stories about searching for Chamatz (ask about the Passover McClean...we could all use one of these), seen different examples of Seder plates and why we eat matzah instead of regular bread - we are excited to search for the Afikomen!

Great projects. We used Elijah's cup and grayden's seder plate was on display during our seder. We still use a matzah cover that I made when I was in preschool, so hopefully Elijah's cup and the seder plate will last until Grayden is grown-up.
