The Etzim class celebrated Israel's birthday in style last week. After looking together at different pictures of flags of the world, we made our own Israeli flags. We learned that the Israeli flag has a star of David in the middle and two blue stripes, one on the top and the other on the bottom. We also made hummus out of chick peas, cut up Israeli salad, and tried Jaffa (a city in Israel) oranges. Our celebration culminated with a big feast of all these yummy Israeli foods! Happy 65th birthday Israel...and many more!
