With Isaiah leading the way as Haman, the Tel Aviv All Stars continue to have fun acting out the Megillah of Esther. The favorite part to play is, of course, Haman. Good guys just don't make the same impression. However, we are trying to teach the children about bravery, acting on your beliefs, and that it is possible to make a difference in the world, even if you are just one person. In the upper left of the collage is Mia's personal Megillah. After re-enacting the Purim story, we encouraged the children to draw pictures and/or write about something that they remembered from the story. We will continue with this activity throughout the rest of the week. Tomorrow we shall see many more characters in costume as we parade around the Temple.
This is quite a dramatic bunch! I love how they learn through dramatizing. It's a wonderful way to further understanding about so many things. I can't wait to get the explanation of the megillah since I am sure there is one!
