Math and Fine Motor Skills

In the Unicorn classroom this past week, we've been having a lot of fun exploring with fine motor and math skills in the morning. We have these great giant pumpkins that two children can share and lace up with shoe laces, peg boards, and links!

The original links were found deep in the storage closet, but for some of our friends, they were too hard to put together. Then, we found the most unusual thing to add to our links... teething rings! These are allow the activity to extend to all children. Our Unicorn friends love to make long chains and measure people and things with it... "do we need to add more?" is a very common question we are hearing.

Any families with old teething rings that can be recycled into new "links" we'd be happy to have them! (Chains can never be too long!)
