Making Connections

There were lots of moments during the course of the morning when two children were either engaging in parallel play or in dyad play.  Dyad play involves two children, but differs from parallel play in that the children are interacting directly.  Over the course of the school year, we have seen the style of play evolve in our class.  Sometimes there is conversation about how to proceed during an activity, and other times the play is simply cooperative.  Sometimes it is taking turns that allows the play to proceed.
