Following my Israeli trip in December, 2012 through the Boston-Haifa Early Childhood Connection, I have maintained my correspondence with my partner school. My teacher partner Bina sent me a letter recently. Enclosed were 35 decorated hand tracings made by the children in her class. In the letter, Bina asked us to trace and decorate our hands creating a “virtual handshake” that we will send back to our Israeli friends. It’s our own preschool version of pen pals across the globe.
When Laura in the Etzim class heard about our project, she asked me to come in to read the letter and join in decorating some”virtual handshakes”, too. Steve helped us by writing the children's names
