A Gragger On A Stick!

Mia came up with a new way to make graggers! The teacher put out empty water bottles, buttons, and colored tape in the art center. After Mia placed the buttons in the bottle, she asked me for a popsicle stick. She then asked me to poke a hole in her bottle and pointed to where she wanted the hole. Mia pushed the stick through the hole and then secured it with tape. Ta da! There you have it...a gragger in a stick! All of her friends loved her idea! Everyone made a gragger on a stick! We will continue making graggers/noise-makers next week. Mia- thanks for sharing your idea with us.

  1. Great idea Mia! And, kudos to the teachers for letting her make her own creation instead of urging her to follow the template.

  2. I agree, Marcy! (Thanks for taking my comment...I guess that'll teach me not to comment immediately.) I am glad Mia doesn't get her creativity from her mother! What a fantastic learning environment the teachers have created that students can teach each other.
