While in Africa, we were visited by our friends Naomi Fleegler and her dad, Eric. They shared their collection of African masks, games and pictures.
We were also visited by Sauci's daughter, Jane who shared her pictures of Africa with us and helped us learn how to count to ten in Swahili. So as the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words!"
I've always thought the detail in African art is SO amazing! I know the class is really enjoying this unit. I loved seeing their African names listed in the classroom.
