In these early days of school, the Levana children are learning a lot about their classroom, classmates, and teachers. It is exciting to see them begin to make choices about their classroom activities, and to suggest books, songs, games or materials. When a child declares that he would like to paint, as Micah did, we can always find a spot to accomodate the artistic urge. Filling a blank paper with color is satisfying, and the children begin to name and mix colors, and practice manipulating brushes of different sizes.
Beautiful! What a benefit to the children that you are able to accommodate their ideas and give them so many new and favorite activities to try out.
